Giuseppe Mazziotti

Giuseppe Mazziotti

While pursuing his musical studies, Giuseppe Mazziotti has completed his law degree with highest marks and honors at the University of Perugia School of Law. Since then, he has been admitted at Florence’s European University Institute (EUI) for a PhD in law, where he was granted a scholarship by the Italian Foreign Ministry. At EUI he has obtained a Master of Research in 2003 and a PhD in Law in 2007 by defending a doctoral thesis entitled EU Digital Copyright Law and the End-User, which has been published by Springer (2008).

In the Fall of 2004, he was Visiting Scholar at the University of California at Berkeley, where he participated in seminars and conducted research in the field of intellectual property and antitrust law, publishing an essay in the E-Scholarship at the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology. Other essays have appeared in national and international law journals such as Il Diritto d’Autore, Petites Affiches e World Competition.

Since September 2004 he is Attorney-at-law at the Italian Bar and, since July 2007, he has worked as intellectual property and antitrust lawyer with the law firm Nunziante Magrone in Rome.
