Sandro Asatiani

Sandro Asatiani graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in 1995 with a degree in Book Illustration. While completing his degree, he worked teaching various art topics and participated in numerous art exhibitions in Tbilisi (Georgia). After graduation, he worked in Georgia and Russia for various organizations such as Diogene Publishers, Iberia TV, and Horizonti the Foundation, where he developed his skills as designer and illustrator. He has worked free-lance for numerous magazines and organizations, in charge of graphic designs for posters, book illustrations, video, web pages, etc.

He has participated in different art exhibitions in Georgia, including Karvasla Museum of History, Week of New Poetry, Modern Art Gallery, etc. He was awarded with prizes for the best poster in the 2003 and 2004 Georgian Poster Competition.

Since 2005, he lives in Firenze (Italy) where he studies at the Academy of Arts and works for NIK.ge, where he is responsible for the design of corporate web pages for different clients, multimedia CDs, video products, etc. During his stay in Italy he has participated to the Mostra di Pittura di Piccolo Formato - Citta di Massarosa and to the Manifestazione D’Arte 2006 in Pavia.
